Applications PLC Sydney is seeking a highly experienced and professional Strength & Conditioning Physical Performance Coach to join our collaborative and high-performing sports department.
This role is designed for a senior practitioner capable of driving elite standards within our high-performance training facility. Hours: 12 hours per week. Schedule: Term-time only (stood down during non-term periods). Remuneration: Competitive salary commensurate with senior-level experience.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver evidence-based S&C programs for Year 9–12 athletes, focusing on foundational movement, strength, and physical literacy aligned with Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) principles. Liaise with the Head of S&C and Sport Coordinators to manage training blocks, monitor athlete fatigue, and ensure peak readiness for targeted competitive seasons. Provide expert supervision of training sessions, ensuring impeccable technical execution by students while maintaining equipment safety and professional facility standards. Act as a professional point of contact for parents, staff, and students to communicate progress, manage recovery protocols, and uphold the College’s Code of Conduct and Christian ethos.
Skills and Expectations: Minimum of 8 years of practical coaching experience within strength and conditioning, youth athlete development, or sport performance environments. Must possess ASCA Level 2 Accreditation and an Undergraduate Degree in Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science. Demonstrated experience working with female athletes; specific experience in elite swimming is a significant advantage. Advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to deal respectfully and effectively with staff, students, and parents to resolve potential conflict. A proven ability to work within a team-based high-performance framework and align programming with the College’s broader physical performance goals. Exceptional organisational skills with a proactive approach to workload monitoring, equipment maintenance, and workplace safety. Full support for the College’s aims, initiatives, and policies, including a willingness to contribute to the Christian ethos of the College. Must hold a current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC), along with valid First Aid and CPR qualifications.
