About the Role: 

 

Reporting to the Head of Business Operations & Administration, this is a unique opportunity to blend high-level project management with daily operational leadership, ensuring our students and staff have a safe and high-quality place to learn and grow. Shape a world-class estate by pairing technical expertise with visionary project delivery. 

 

This is a permanent full-time position role based at our Croydon campus. 

 

Key responsibilities: 

As Head of Facilities and Asset Management, you will: 

  • Lead all building projects and renovations from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and meet the long-term needs of the College 
  • Manage the daily upkeep of all buildings and grounds, including cleaning, security, and repairs, to provide a safe and high-quality environment for students and staff
  • Handle operational and capital budgets (CapEx/OpEx) and manage relationships with external contractors to ensure the College gets the best value and service
  • Act as the lead for all safety standards, ensuring the site follows building codes, fire safety rules and WHS laws at all times
  • Lead and support the multi-disciplinary team while using site data and management to produce data analytics and high-quality reporting 

 

Skills and expectations: 

  • Degree in a relevant field (eg Facilities/Asset Management, Project Management, Engineering) and significant experience leading facility operations and major building projects at a senior level. Experience in an educational environment will be well-regarded 
  • Comprehensive understanding of WHS laws, building codes and safety standards, with the ability to manage asset and contractor systems effectively
  • Strong financial skills, with a proven track record of managing complex budgets and negotiating with contractors to get the best results
  • Calm and organised leader who communicates clearly, can lead diverse teams and engage respectfully with all stakeholders
  • Committed to the College's goals and policies, including a willingness to support our Christian ethos and follow our staff Code of Conduct
