About the Role PLC Sydney is seeking dedicated General Maintenance Staff to join our Facilities team. We are currently offering both casual and permanent full-time opportunities. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining the College's grounds, buildings, and facilities to ensure a safe and premium environment for our community. Key responsibilities include: - Executing minor repairs across various trades (carpentry, plumbing, and electrical).
- Assisting with painting, general upkeep, and campus presentation.
- Managing event setups and conducting regular safety inspections.
- Coordinating with external contractors and ensuring the campus remains clean and tidy.
Successful candidates will have: - Demonstrated experience in general maintenance with diverse practical skills
- Proficiency in operating hand and power tools, complemented by foundational knowledge in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Proactive problem-solving capabilities and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a collaborative team approach
- Physical capacity to perform manual tasks, coupled with the ability to work autonomously and manage time efficiently
