ABOUT THE ROLE

PLC Sydney Preschools is seeking an inspired and experienced Teaching Director to lead our Lane Cove preschool. 

This is a unique opportunity for a visionary leader who is passionate about the Reggio Emilia framework and committed to providing high-quality Early Childhood education within a supportive Christian environment. 

As the Nominated Supervisor, you will bridge the gap between classroom excellence and operational management, ensuring our youngest learners have a seamless transition into their schooling years. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Operational Leadership: Manage day-to-day operations as the Nominated Supervisor, ensuring full compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), ACECQA, and WHS standards.
• Educational Excellence: Lead the pedagogical direction of the center based on the Reggio Emilia framework, modeling best-practice teaching and overseeing the planning and evaluation of educational programs. 
• Staff Mentorship: Provide a dynamic and ethical leadership to the preschool team, fostering a culture of continuous professional development and collaborative review. 
• Strategic Liaison: Work closely with the Head of Junior School on enrolment decisions and collaborate with the Ashfield Preschool Director to align pedagogy across both sites.

Skills and Expectations: 

• Must hold Early Childhood teaching qualifications recognised by NESA
• Comprehensive knowledge and proven experience in implementing the National Quality Framework and related regulations
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to engage respectfully and effectively with families from diverse cultural backgrounds
• Strong organisational skills with experience in budget management, recruitment, and maintaining Preschool utilization rates
• Must hold a valid Working With Children Check
• Must hold a valid First Aid and CPR certificate (or be willing to obtain one prior to commencing)
• You will be required to support the Christian ethos of the College
