About the Role: PLC Sydney is seeking a dedicated Database Administrator to join our IT Team on a one-year fixed-term contract. This role is vital in ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of the College's database systems while supporting high-level, data-driven decision-making across the school. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain the day-to-day operations, security, and availability of the school's student and staff administration systems.
- Write and optimise SQL statements for complex data manipulation and custom reporting to meet administrative needs.
- Troubleshoot and manage technical integrations between core school systems and external platforms (e.g., Google, Edval, Cloudworks).
- Ensure all government reporting and data collection requirements are met accurately and within strict deadlines.
Key Requirements: - Minimum of two years of professional experience in SQL database administration.
- Strong ability to write and understand SQL for data operations and provide technical instructions for external developers.
- Familiarity with school-based information systems (preferably Edumate or similar) and school timetabling processes.
- Highly organised with a proven track record of effective teamwork and the communication skills necessary to support both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You will be required to support the Christian ethos of the College. The successful applicant must provide a Working With Children Clearance Number.
