Applications PLC Sydney is seeking an exceptional and dedicated Science Teacher to join our highly regarded Science faculty. This is a full-time, permanent position, commencing Term 1, 2026. As a member of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and rigorous Science lessons to students from Years 7 to 12. We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about their subject, committed to fostering a love of learning, and able to inspire students to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: - Design and deliver high-quality NSW Syllabus Stages 4 and 5 Science lessons to students in Years 7 to 10.
- Design and deliver high-quality NSW Syllabus Stage 6 Science lessons (in at least one of the following disciplines: Biology, Chemistry and Earth & Environmental Science) to students in Years 11 and 12.
- Design and deliver high-quality Cambridge IGCSE lessons in either Biology or Chemistry to students in Years 9 and 10. There may be an opportunity in future years to teach AS and A -level courses.
- Create and implement engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and a deep understanding of core scientific principles.
- Employ a range of pedagogical strategies to differentiate instruction and meet the diverse needs of all students, from those requiring additional support to those excelling.
- Utilise modern educational technologies and laboratory equipment to enhance teaching and learning, ensuring a hands-on, practical approach to the subject.
The successful candidate will have: - A relevant university degree and teaching qualifications.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Science at a secondary level, with a proven history of achieving strong academic results.
- In-depth knowledge of the NSW syllabus, including an understanding of its pedagogical requirements and assessment strategies.
