Applications The College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to fill the role of a Sports Coordinator within our dynamic Sports team. This is a newly created position and is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated candidate to work within a successful sports program and to lead a team of sports coaches. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will lead and manage a variety of activities and team sports for students in Years K -12. Key responsibilities include: - Leading and managing team sports across multiple levels.
- Leading fitness training sessions for Senior School athletes as part of our Strength & Conditioning team.
- Managing representative pathways, athlete education, and athlete support.
- Collaborating with the Sports Department team to deliver and attend sports carnivals and events.
- Management and organisation of the Duke of Edinburgh camps.
Skills and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you have a strong background and knowledge of Water Polo and Strength and Conditioning. A Level 1 ASCA qualification, or the willingness to obtain it, is required. We are also looking for a candidate who has: - Willingness to work across various sports, including Netball, Basketball, Touch Football, Badminton, and Volleyball.
- Previous experience working in schools (highly beneficial).
- An understanding of IGSA and IPSHA representative sports pathways (highly beneficial).
- Excellent organisational, administration, time management, and communication skills.
- The ability to organise sports programs, trials, training, and games.
- The availability to work outside of regular school hours, including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, and Saturdays, as well as during non-term time and sports trips/tours.
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in sport or a related discipline, and/or equivalent industry experience.
- A current First Aid and CPR certificate.
