About the Role: PLC Sydney is seeking a dedicated and experienced Transport Manager to oversee the safe, efficient, and reliable transportation of our students. This pivotal role requires a proactive individual with strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills, coupled with a thorough understanding of transport regulations and a commitment for student safety. Key Responsibilities: - Team Leadership & Operations Management: Lead and manage bus drivers, oversee daily transport operations including route coordination, driver rostering, and third-party bus bookings.
- Fleet Maintenance & Compliance: Ensure the maintenance and safety of the school's bus fleet in accordance with Transport for NSW accreditation and manage all related servicing and repairs.
- Route Planning & Optimisation: Collaborate on and implement efficient bus routes, addressing student and family needs and recommending improvements.
- Safety & Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans, conduct drills, and ensure adherence to safety protocols and the school's duty of care.
- Administration & Communication: Undertake transport-related administrative duties (including non-term time requirements), manage budgets, maintain records, and communicate effectively with staff and parents.
Key Requirements: - Minimum MR license (HR preferred)
- Excellent driving record
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of transport safety regulations and NSW bus standards
- Excellent administration, communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in school bus operations (desirable)
